Used spatially resolved spectroscopy from the SAMI Galaxy Survey, combined with GAMA morphology and merger classifications, to map how galaxy mergers reshape star formation. Mergers boost star formation everywhere, but the strongest bursts sit in the nuclear core, with the size of the effect shifting by merger ratio, pair separation, and morphology.

Sliced emission-line data (Hα, [OIII]) to trace star-forming regions and built g–r colour density plots showing pairs skew blue and post-coalescence systems skew red, with redshift estimates matching NED values to within 0.002.
